48th STREET RESIDENCE

The original residence was a deteriorating 1,000 square foot rectangle in central Austin. The structure was taken down to the studs and the roof pitch increased. The home is reminiscent in style and detailing of older frame structures in the area. The final product was just over 2,000 square feet and added a second living area, a dining room, utility areas and a master suite. The entire house was clad in hardie siding with cedar accents.
